Say Hello to Heello
Has Twitter managed to clone itself due to reaching critical mass from asinine updates courtesy of Miley Cyris and Snooki? No, however a copycat site has hopped on the microblogging bandwagon because apparently the one thing we all deeply desired was another vehicle for Kim Kardashian to broadcast to the world what condiments she despises. The result? The uninspired heello.
The site was launched by Twitpic founder Noah Everett just days after Twitter unveiled their photo-sharing service. The site isn’t particularly difficult to get acclimated to despite the inherently different vocabulary. For example, heello users have “listeners” in lieu of “followers”. Perhaps Everett is wittily commentary on the fact that Twitter isn’t so much a means for conversation as it is a virtual screaming match between celebrities and their devoted followers, er… listeners? Despite the evolved nomenclature, as well as updates which appear in real-time, the site is eerily similar to Twitter and should be easy for established Twitter users to utilize.
In addition, heello offers intergration with Facebook, as well as Twitter.
Will you be logging onto heello or are you consumed with too many social media accounts as it is? Let us know in the comments.
