Shoptiques: Shop Boutiques Like A Local

Shoptiques is a new website that lest you shop boutiques like you’re a local. The sites lets you buy from 50 boutiques nationwide with one flat shipping and return fee.

There are already other websites such as Farfetch that do this already. However, how is Shoptiques different? It is the product. Farfetch focuses on upmarket brands and the price tag is not very friendly. Brands are not a focus with Shoptiques and products are priced between $50 and $300.

To start shopping, you can shop by neighborhood such as Brooklyn or West Hollywood. Then you can filter by color, price, size and style. You also can browse across cities by category.

Olga Vidisheva, Founder of Shoptiques included, “We want to become a destination for boutique living and shopping. If you’re on the streets of Nolita, we want to tell you which boutiques near you have stuff. We really see our boutiques as partners, and we want to drive traffic to their offline stores as well. We benefit because they’ll be in business a long time, and we want to work with them for a long time.”

Need any information about the product, fit, etc.? Shoptiques also offers phone numbers to the boutique so that you have assistance when you need it. Vidisheva also wants to integrate SMS chat in the future so that customers can chat with the boutique over the internet.

JoynIn: Group Couponing and CheckIn’s

Joynin is a new social app that combines your favorites from Yelp, Facebook and Foursquare into all one application on the web and on your phone. The website also offers you group coupons that you can your friends can use. It also rewards you for planning your whole trip.

You can also plan outings on the website and invite people via Facebook. You can confirm all the RSVP’s on Joynin. To start this, you state the occasion, where you would like to go, when, the place and offer a price point. Then you can message all the people you desire to.

Also you can check out Yelp reviews so you can be sure you are picking out a great Venue. With Joynin you can have a profile so you can connect with your friends and share your favorite spots.

Brenton Gieser, co-founder of Joynin included: “JoynIn is about is rewarding people for going out with their friends. So, we help people be more social in their social lives. They can go to bars and clubs and get rewarded for their influence.”

JoynIn also rewards businesses. They can bring in new customers by offering the coupons. This is a great idea for start up businesses.

Pinterest: The Ever Growing Community

Pinterest is growing rapidly and many people in the fashion industry are flocking there. Fashion bloggers use it for inspiration, to be brides use it for inspiration for their wedding, magazine companies and businesses can use it to promote their business.

Many fashion magazines are on Pinterest, giving you the opportunity to get inspiration from the latest fashions around the world. They bring images you might not see elsewhere as well.

Brides are also flocking to Pinterest for the latest inspiration for their wedding. There are many websites that provide images and inspiration. But Pinterest offer inspiration for DIY, ideas for invitations, ceremony decorations and so much more. Many pictures you would not find elsewhere, or is hard to find.

The only downfall of Pinterest is that you have to be invited to use it. Also you can not view any images if you are not in Pinterest. This makes it safer for those who do have a Piterest. However, this is another downfall when you need some inspiration.

Alberta Ferretti for Macy’s

The next designer collaboration with Macy’s is Alberta Ferretti. The collection will hit stores on April 17th and range in prices from $49 to $120. There is less hype with the Macy’s collaborations than the one’s with H&M and Target. But that doesn’t stop them from creating 6 designer collaborations a year. Simply why they are not doing as well with their collaborations in in my opinion is the price. They do create wonderful collections however, who would pay $50 for a simple shirt?  And many of the designer collaborations with H&M and Target is lower priced.

However, no matter the price the quality and brand can outweigh the cost. Especially when Alberta Ferretti clothing can cost hundreds of dollars.

You have a Facebook page and post daily but don’t have much engagement. Why? There are certain reasons and here 3 ways to increase your Facebook Fan Engagement:

1) Post a Fan Centered Status. This means posting a question as a stauts. For example, “What did you think of the Betsy Johnson Fall 2012 Collection during New York Fashion Week?” This will engage people to react and discuss with others. Also encourage people to post photos on your page. For example, ask people to post pictures of their Christmas outfit or party outfit. This will inspire others and likely want to further engage.

2) Create action based incentives. For example, if your page is about your business that sells jewelery offer an incentive such as if you like this page receive 15% off your order! This will make people like your page and engage with others on the page.

3) Enable sharing! This is very important. If you enable sharing people can share your posts. Then other people can find you, like your page and then share again with others.

So there you have it. Ways to increase fan engagement on Facebook. It is vital to take steps to engage conversation or what have you or otherwise your page will just sit there. And we don’t want that!

When you create those lists you can rate and share them on Facebook and Twitter.

Viral trend is another website that you can post your daily looks on. Share your unique sense of style with others around the world. What is different from other fashion websites such as Chictopia and Lookbook.nu is that you can create shopping lists and create favorites from online stores. You can’t do that with those other websites.

It shows off your unique sense of style. It also shows items you would maybe never purchase because it’s either too expensive or unattainable. It also gives other users tons of inspiration.
