Sortable: A New Search Engine
Sortable is a new search engine that finds the right product based on your personal criteria. Sortable sorts through all the products you are interested in and presents them to you. It saves you time and effort in finding the right product. Right now you can search for categories such as TV’s, Phones, Tablets, Cameras and laptops. Once you choose one and features in the personalized bar, Sortable will score the products based on your personal criteria.
Chris Reid, co-founder of Sortable included, “Sortable helps you understand the real differences among the products you’re looking for. Users tell us what’s important to them and based on the information, we point out all the best features about the products and services that they’re most interested in” (Mashable).
What is even more convenient is that Sortable will list all the prices, size, features, advantages and disadvantages. This makes the purchasing process faster and easier. You know exactly what you are buying and what to expect. You can also compare 2 products as well side by side.
What is different about Sortable from all the other search engines is that they offer complete reviews and recommendations on all its features than just one or two popular ones. Also, we all know how frustrating and exhausting it can be to search for that perfect product. Sortable is there to help.

Of A Kind: Purchase Clothing on Tumblr
Of a Kind is a new retail web store that sells limited edition clothing and accessories exclusively on Tumblr. Each week there are two items that are sold exclusively from one designer. The prices range from $60 to $175. However, there are only 20-35 of the product sold so better get in their quick!
Besides just the item up for sale on the website, there is information on the designer, what they design and what other products they sell. They will also take the reader behind the scenes of the creative process. It will show readers how the designers make their pieces and where it all comes from.
Of a Kind started a year ago and now has over 35,000 users making it a very successful web-store. It has been featured on The Today Show, WWD, Los Angeles Times, W, and Daily Candy.
Of a Kind is a great innovative web store. It is a great way of finding out about new designers and for designers to showcase and promote their designs. Also owning exclusive products will make your wardrobe even more unique and fun. Everyone will be asking where did you get that?!

Hoseanna: Subscription Service for Staple Items
Hoseanna is a new website subscription service that allows customers to purchase items such has pantyhose, tampons and deodorant on auto ship. Hoseanna offers the customer the option to shop right online and stock up on their necessities without ever leaving the home. Customer’s can auto purchase the products every two to three months. They can also purchase them just once if they prefer to do so. What is even more convenient is that Hoseanna will email the subscriber 10 days before shipment, so if the subscriber chooses to cancel they will be able to do so before being charged. There is also free shipping with orders over $30 and the service is completely free.
Hoseanna is perfect for women who are busy and often don’t have time to make those weekly runs to the pharmacy or drugstore. This would even be perfect for the elderly who can’t get out that often due to disabilities. Having items shipped to them will make their life a little easier.
Co-Founder of Hoseanna included, “We want to give women back five minutes of their days” (Mashable). Which is very true. Planning ahead and stocking up on products will make women feel stress free. No need to think to yourself, did I forget something at the store?
Right now the selection is very limited and to only a few products. Therefore you might not find your favorite face wash (which let me tell you I would want on there!) or tampon product. Hopefully as the company grows they will be introducing new and popular products.

Community Collection: A Flash Sale Site for Fashion and Charity
Community Collection is a new fashion flash sale site where 20% of the goods sold benefit a charity chosen by the designer. This site offers a 30 day sale and none of it is discounted. What a sale site with no discount? Yes, what is unique about this website is that 20% of your purchase will go to a charity. Many of the designers featured already have been Alexis Bittar, Adam Yigal Azrouel, Alexander Wang, Helmut Land and Erickson Beamon. Right now only clothing from their current collections are being sold. However, Community Collection is planning on bringing limited edition clothing soon to the website.
Brooks Cook, CEO and founder of Community Collection included, “(retail sites) incredibly oversaturated with discount sites and we are looking for something different, something that will add value and create a unique experience” (Mashable).
This can be a great online store for people looking to give back to society. Who wouldn’t feel bad that when you are buying a $1,000 coat, 20% of it is being given to charity. That means $200 of your purchase will go to a charity. Not bad at all, if you have the money at least.
What are the charities anyhow? Some of the charities include, American Cancer Society, Operation Smile, World Wildlife Fund, Goods for Good. Operation Homefront, Operation USA and many more. These are great charities and definitely do some good to our society. Help those in need buy buying something glamorous!

Tesco Launches Virtual Store
Tesco has launched a virtual shopping store in subway stations. The virtual store looks much like a regular store. However, instead of taking the product with you, you scan the QR code with your smartphone and the product is added to your online shopping cart. When you are done shopping the products will be delivered to your home later that day.
Since this introduction sales increased dramatically. Over 10,000 customers visited Tesco over their smartphones. Members also increased by 76%.
This is one invention that is likely to be commended for and other companies will sure to follow suit. People who live in a busy city often don’t have time to make those grocery runs. Having the option to do your grocery shopping before work and have your groceries delivered after work will make people’s lives run much smoother. This is also great for those who have disabilities or are elderly and need help with the groceries.
The biggest downside right now is that, it is only in Korea at the moment and has not launched in any other major subway system as of yet. Also you have to use your smartphone to purchase the items. People who don’t have a smartphone (there are people that don’t!) are not able to use this system.
Hopefully this will land in other major subway systems and non subways since not every city has a subway! If they integrated this online for cities that don’t have a subway I would definitely consider using it!
Would you buy groceries virtually through this system or would you rather go grocery shopping physically?
