One Share.es: Erase Data After Transmission
Imagine when you send personal information to a recipient and when the recipient views it once it automatically erases. Would you like this to happen, especially with very sensitive, personal information? This is now possible with One Share.es.
Jerry Thompson, co-founder and CTO of One Share.es stated, “There’s a lot of trust placed with people with whom we share private information. Over time, this information is collected in people’s inboxes and with the amount of free space offered by Gmail and other services, there’s little reason or incentive to actually delete these emails.”
So how does it work? When you enter the data it is encrypted from your browser to One Share.es servers and stored encrypted. You then get a private URL that holds the content. That URL is sent to the recipient. Once the recipient reviews the information and closes it out it permanently deletes. It can no longer be retrieved or viewed once they close out.
Is this really safe, as really nothing is ever deleted from the computer right? This is true but it is permanently deleted from the recipient’s email. So sending personal information will forever be deleted and never viewed again. The only problem is that the recipient will need to write down the information on a piece of paper or keep the information on their computer if they want to keep the information. This can be a disadvantage.
As a reminder never send your credit card, social security card over the internet, even if a service like this claims to be secure. You never know!

Commentto Lets You Comment and Highlight on Websites
What is best about books is that you can highlight and comment where need be. However, you can’t do that online. Not until now. Commentto allows you to make comments and highlight sections on websites. Users can also save information to a personal folder on commentto. When a commentto popup comes up users can edit the title, add comments, and place it into the folder. The only downside is that commentto does not track website history.
Kandarp Dave, Founder of Commentto included, “I started commentto, because I was really bothered that I always had to comment at the end of, say, a news article. That’s not really a conversation. If we want to bring real-world conversations online, we have to provide users a way to comment anywhere.”
What is also great about commentto is that you when you highlight or comment on a website, only you can view those comments or highlights. Very convenient for others! Also commentto would be great for people researching information online. It can help them finish that article or essay they need to finish.

Splitable: Split A Bill Online
Splitable is a new website that lets you split the bill on pretty much anything on the web. To start you invite friends to a team to share the payment of one thing or several expenses. It will go over the details and collect payments into one platform. Each credit card will not be charged until the team is committed. You can also cancel your transaction before the whole team has committed.
Mary Foden, founder of Splitable included, “This allows the team to come together without risk to any individual member’s money, and encourages the team members to rally others to get on board quickly” (Mashable).
It is also completely free to use Splitable but there is a small fee for credit card processing. Regardless, this website is a genius. No more worries on whether your friend will pay or not. Knowing that your credit card will not be charged until that other person makes the payment is such a stress relief. This is also great for roommates who want to purchase a TV and split the cost.
In the future the company wants to create wedding and baby registries.

Mindbloom: Build Your Tree of Life
Mindbloom is a website that helps users use software to stay engaged with their top goals for living well. To start you choose a series of ares that you would like to focus on maintaining and improving. Examples include, health, creativity, relationships, etc. Users can also put in a series of smaller benchmarks such as completing a series of push ups, spending time with family, etc. that will help them achieve their larger goals. Every time a smaller task is completed the tree grows. If you don’t complete them the tree doesn’t move.
At the moment there are 50,000 registered users and 36,000 of them are active. Which is pretty impressive for such a simple website.
Having a website remind you of your goals is very convenient. Especially with the new years it will help remind you of your new years resolutions. Also it is a great website to store all your long term goals. It helps remind you what you really want in the future when you are busy going through your every day routine.

HopeMob: A New Charity Website
HopeMob is a new charity website that uses votes by users to determine what charities they will feature and support. To start, new users create a username and password. After they register HopeMob will give the user 50 story points. Story points are used to vote a story up in the cause queue. Each queue has 23 stories total. Right now the public can only vote in stores in the 4-20 categories. Users can not post more than 250 points as well toward one story.
Shaun King an entrepreneur, included, “People that want to give time and money don’t feel good about their current options. People who are in need don’t have the time or social network (to find help)” (Mashable).
What is even more amazing is that every dollar that is donated, goes directly to the cause. So no worries on wondering where you money goes. Not every need will be monetary as well. There might be a need for a person who has cancer to get 20,000 fans on Facebook. People who need assistance can submit an application and will then have to be verified. The stories then will be compiled by a staff of volunteer writers, photographers and videographers.
Having a charity website centralized around social media and a voting system is new. Often you don’t know where your money goes when you donate to certain charities. Also, you may talk about a charity very highly to everyone but having HopeMob will help you further support that charity.
